Hansje van Halem works as an independent graphic designer since 2003. She has great love for typography, book design and all other types of printed matter. Besides creating letters, textures and patterns (digitally and manually) she loves to solve editorial problems with typography and materialization. She started using screen print as a platform for typographic experiment creating posters to announce exhibitions for Schrank 8 Home Gallery (2010-2013) and Galerie Block C (2014-present). For these posters the name of the exhibiting artist is used to interweave background and type. The design comes together screen printed on colorful and sometimes textured paper.
